The KYTC Department of Highways’ performance is measured by its ability to deliver projects in the Highway Plan successfully and on time. To help KYTC Project Managers schedule and track project milestones, critical path method (CPM) templates were created for different project contexts and common project phases. This HKP Knowledge Book, Time Management for Highway Project Development, gives an overview of each work-breakdown unit along the critical path, and is presented as a series of 17 articles. From the initiation of the project, to procuring a contractor for construction, these articles highlight the issues that can delay project development and arm the project manager with the knowledge to deliver the project on schedule.
